screenshot from intellicast 840pm CDT 3/29/2012:Several pockets of severe weather have broken out in the areas named earlier today … in the midwest — Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North and South Dakota …. damaging winds, hail, and possible tornadoes.
The NWS has issued tornado watch alerts for East Kansas , northwest Missouri, Southeast Nebraska, and Southwest Iowa.
Texas, (especially south texas).. and Louisiana– both are seeing large severe cells develop this evening (3/29/2012) — be aware that large hail and damaging winds are associated with these storms.
We are seeing TWO small low pressure systems spin off — one is south over Louisiana.. the other is north over Minnesota … in between we are seeing the severe weather.
