On Sunday, 23 October 2011, between 1:45 UTC (3:45 CEST) and 2:15 UTC (4:15 CEST) the german ROentgen SATellite ROSAT has re-entered Earth’s atmosphere. There is currently no confirmation if pieces of debris have reached Earth’s surface.

10/22/2011 — German ROSAT satellite — Coming back down to earth — How to track the craft

The german ROSAT satellite will be falling back to earth sometime over the next day or two at the most (the time now being 645pm CDT 10/22/2011).

here is a bit about the satellite, a picture, and an artists rendition of the craft— as you can see.. its a rather large craft —
